Why TikTok may tag a video as AI
TikTok says it may automatically label content it identifies as completely generated or significantly edited with AI. Attached C2PA Content Credentials are one documented way the platform can recognize such content.
TikTok says its creator disclosure does not affect distribution as long as the post follows Community Guidelines. We cannot promise more views or bypass TikTok’s checks. What ClearTags can do is show what the finished file contains and remove unrelated private metadata from a copy.

Why did TikTok label a video after a small AI edit?
- The exported file can carry Content Credentials that describe an AI-assisted edit. TikTok may also use its own tools and detection, so the file is only one part of the decision.
- QUALITY
Will the clean copy be compressed again?
- For compatible MP4, MOV, WebM and MKV files, ClearTags copies the existing audio and video streams into a new container instead of re-encoding them.
- REACH
Will removing metadata restore my views?
- There is no honest way to promise that. TikTok says creator disclosure itself does not reduce distribution when the post follows its rules.
