Facebook can read standardized AI signals
Meta says Facebook and Instagram can use industry-standard indicators such as C2PA and IPTC information when applying AI context. A camera photo can carry an AI-edit assertion after generative fill, object removal or background replacement without being generated from scratch.
ClearTags lets you inspect and remove supported embedded metadata from a publishing copy. It cannot erase a disclosure you selected in Facebook, a label on an existing post, Meta AI provenance or any classification based on signals outside the uploaded file.

Can a normal camera photo end up with AI Info?
- Yes. An editor can attach an AI-edit record after object removal, generative fill or a background change even when the original scene came from a camera.

- LIMIT
Can it remove AI Info from a post that is already live?
- No. It only changes a new local file. It cannot edit Facebook posts, disclosures or Meta’s server-side records.
